Strength and Stability

Tests conducted at the Technical University of Karlsruhe have proved that the HIB-System is extremely stable. This improved construction system is earthquake and storm proof up to three storeys. Combining the system with a concrete floor gives even greater strength and stability.

With the HIB-System innovation goes hand in hand with the traditional. By using the dovetail joint, one of the oldest (and best) ways of connecting two pieces of wood maximum structural strength and stability is achieved. Using the experience gained from the traditional Black Forest timber constructed houses but utilising the more flexible HIB block system the occurrence of cracks due to movement is eliminated.
It is a solid and intelligent system which has been confirmed by the awards won and the extensive tests to which it has been subjected. Awards won by HIB-Systems:
