Under the leadership of university professor Dr. H.J. Blaß, the University of Karlsruhe has issued an expert assessment on the results of a two-year research project. The behaviour factor q was determined by seismic tremors.

This behaviour factor demonstrates the well-tempered behaviour of the HIB system under seismic conditions.
Under conservative considerations this factor was calculated as q = 4.
This factor is considered the highest possible factor in the European earthquake standard and forms the basis for the proposed CE certification.

As a result of these excellent results, HIB constructions offer unique possibilities and therefore more safety for the people living in earthquake-prone regions!
